Reporting a bug
Please include these — with them a problem is usually fixable in one pass, without them it often is not reproducible at all:
- What you were doing, and what you expected to happen.
- Your phone model and Android version.
- The app version, shown at the bottom of the Account screen.
- For a site that was not blocked: its address, the browser or app it opened in, and whether Always-on VPN is switched on.
We cannot remove protection early, pause a countdown or send a one-time code — nobody can; the app does it on the phone. Please do not send screenshots of your browsing: describing the problem is enough.

Can I turn it off if I really need to?
Yes, but not quickly — and neither can anyone else. There is no pause and no disable switch. Removal takes a 72-hour wait, then a one-time code, every time.
Does incognito or a VPN get around it?
Incognito is filtered like everything else, because the block sits under the browser. VPN, proxy and DNS-changer sites are blocked by default, and if another VPN replaces the filter, the app records it as a bypass attempt.
Can Guardly see what I browse?
No. Nothing about browsing is stored, on the phone or anywhere else. The app keeps a count of blocked requests and a log of boundary events — a site added, a removal requested — never the sites you visit.
What if I force-stop it or restart the phone?
After a restart the filter starts before you unlock. Force-stopping is the one real hole, which is why the app asks you to turn on Always-on VPN: with it, the phone simply has no internet while the filter is down.
Will my browsing feel slower?
No. Each lookup is answered on the phone in a fraction of a millisecond, and nothing scans your screen, so battery use stays low.
What about YouTube, Google and Bing?
Safe Search is forced on Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo and Yandex, and YouTube runs in Restricted Mode. You can also block YouTube and social apps completely.
What if a site I need is blocked by mistake?
Add it to the allow list. Allowing takes effect after the same 72-hour wait, so a bad moment cannot turn into an exception.
Is it free?
Yes, during early access. There is no subscription, nothing to cancel and no card on file.

Deleting your data
Guardly has no account and no server, so there is nothing of yours for us to delete. Everything the app keeps is on your phone. To remove it, complete Account → Remove protection (72 hours, then the one-time code), which also lifts uninstall protection, and then uninstall the app.
